XLIM is ranked 7th in the world for patents in the sector of supercontinuum sources for medical applications!

A recent study by FIST SA* on patent filing in the sector of Sources of light for health, ranks the University of Limoges 7th globally and 1st among French universities**.

XLIM, in collaboration with industrial partners CILAS (Orléans) and LEUKOS (Limoges), is in fact the first in France to file a patent in the patent family “Light sources for health”: Patents have been filed in 13 patent families in the last 10 years.
