Objectives

The iXeo Master’s is an iXeo high-tech engineering degree. The aim of the teaching team invested in international research is to train experts in the telecommunications, space and health instrumentation sectors. The iXeo Master’s will meet the expectations of students wishing to develop a highly sought professional expertise in the industrial high-tech sector or to integrate the doctorate with research and higher education. Two courses are offered to students of M1 iXeo in Semester 2: “Microwave and optical devices” and “Component materials”

Skills

Skills acquired upon completion of the Master’s :

  • Design: An R&D engineer designs, studies and validates technologies, circuits and/or advanced functions of high-frequency electronics and optics according to industrial project or R&D specifications.
  • High-tech: He is the main contact for new electronic and optical technology
  • Communications systems: He analyses the characteristics of a system and designs the specifications of related electronic and optical functions.
  • Modelling and simulation: He is responsible for modelling and simulation tools during the design and study phases of high-frequency electronic and optical circuits and systems.
  • Experimental characterisation: He develops new systems and new methodologies for measuring components and circuits in the areas of high-frequency electronics and optics.

With the cross-functional skills acquired, graduates are :

  • Able to consider industrial and economic issues: competitiveness and productivity, innovation, intellectual/industrial property, compliance with quality/safety procedures.
  • Able to study the feasibility of a project and develop technical proposals compared with the research bibliography or existing solutions within the company.
  • Able to manage a project: development of a provisional schedule, forecasting of risks and benefits of the proposed solutions and the necessary equipment, communications on the progress.
  • Able to work in an international environment: mastery of English, economic intelligence, cultural openness, international experience.

Number of ECTS credits : 60

Registration fee

Approximately 480 euros (including social security). NB: Each year, a dozen  merit scholarships  are awarded to students entering the iXeo course for Master’s 1.
