EquipEx+: Add4p project has been selected
In December 2020, the Add4p project was selected among the 50 EquipEx+ projects (with A+ appreciation) by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The Add4P project is coordinated by the CNRS and aims to create a national technological platform “Add for Photonics” of European scope on the additive manufacturing of glasses and optical components. The project has seven partners covering the national territory (CNRS, University of Lille, University of Rennes, University of Bordeaux, University of Limoges, University Côte d’Azur, CEA Tech). At the heart of the activities of LabEx Sigma Lim, the implication of the University of Limoges will be materialized by the collaboration between the laboratories IRCER and XLIM for the additive manufacturing of large volumes of doped silica and the contribution of artificial intelligence in the additive processes. The project also integrates the acquisition of a customized multi-purpose laser that will integrate the PLATINOM platform of the XLIM Institute.
