The E2Lim laboratory will organize from the 1^st to the 3^rd December a workshop dedicated on “Analytical Tools to Detect & Understand trace metals”, in the frame of the European project « M2Ex » (H2020-MSCA-ITN-2019). It will stimulate awareness of the early stage researchers of the project, involved in studying the interactions between metals and microorganisms, on the problematic of metals quantification in media displaying high microbial density. The concepts of chemical speciation and bioavailability will be presented before an in depth presentation of some advanced analytical techniques used in this scientific area. The presentation will be given by researchers with international reputation in the field: Pr. Hao Zhang (Lancaster University), Pr. Josep Galceran (Lleida University), Pr. Eric van Hullebusch (Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris), Pr. Emmanuel Guillon (Reims University) and Dr. Jimmy Roussel (Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology).
