The Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region organized the regional forum on European territorial cooperation on May 27, 2026, at the regional headquarters in Bordeaux.

The day provided an opportunity to present the various calls for transnational cooperation projects and share experiences from past and ongoing projects. Sixteen booths were set up alongside these discussions to showcase 16 transnational projects across four different themes, including water and the environment. The Interreg Atlantic Area Rivers-Rest project was featured at one of the 16 booths.

The President of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region, Alain Rousset, spoke at the forum and visited the booths. All participants agreed that it is crucial to maintain these financial mechanisms, managed by the various European regions, to support cross-border cooperation, which is essential for the continued integration of Europe and economic development.
