The conversation – red algae to protect crops
As part of the Fête de la science 2024 on the theme Ocean of Knowledge, the laboratory’s work was presented in The Conversation online media: ‘Protecting crops with red seaweed, an alternative to pesticides?
This research project, conducted in partnership with SETEXAM (Kenitra, Morocco), focuses on the use of co-products from the extraction of agar as a plant defence stimulator. This biocontrol solution could reduce the use of pesticides.
