Unusual CNRS visits

Description of visit
Immerse yourself in the day-to-day life of a research laboratory. To achieve this goal, you’ll have to roll up your sleeves, dress up as a researcher and carry out experiments.
The CRIBL laboratory studies the normal and pathological development of a particular cell of the immune system: the B lymphocyte. It studies it from every angle.
After getting to know the laboratory and the B lymphocyte, you will carry out some molecular and cellular biology experiments:
- Observation and handling of cells in suspension under a microbiological safety cabinet (PSM type 2)
- Handling cell pellets
- Handling the culture supernatant to measure the quantity of immunoglobulins. The participants carry out the final phase of an ELISA (revelation) prepared before the visit and the plate reading.
- 3D visualisation of cells using a confocal microscope
Two visit sessions are organised:
- Friday 6 October | 5.30-8pm
- Friday 13 October | 5.30-8pm
