On Thursday, March 12, 2026, CRIBL hosted Thermo Fisher Days, a major event organized for all research units at the OmegaHealth Institute. The event gave teams the opportunity to explore a wide range of equipment, reagents, and technological solutions designed for the life sciences, molecular biology, cell culture, and laboratory analysis.

Held in the laboratory’s exhibition spaces, the event brought together several representatives from Thermo Fisher Scientific who came to present their innovations and engage with the site’s researchers, engineers, and technical staff.

A space for demonstrations and dialogue

The exhibition offered visitors the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of equipment and consumables covering a range of application areas: recombinant proteins, agarose gels, cell culture and analysis, filtration, and personal protective equipment. The booths were designed as interactive demonstration areas, fostering direct discussions about the specific needs of laboratories and the day-to-day challenges of conducting experiments.

The event also highlighted practical solutions for research and routine activities in a relaxed setting conducive to technical discussions and the sharing of experiences.

Presentations on laboratory applications

In addition to the exhibition, several presentations were offered throughout the day, including sessions on best practices in qPCR and MIQE guidelines, the selection of laboratory gloves, and Luminex technology. These discussions provided further insight into the methods and tools central to the operations of research laboratories.

The event thus helped strengthen ties between research teams and suppliers, while stimulating discussion on protocol optimization, the quality of analyses, and the selection of equipment best suited to scientific needs.
