Stéphanie Durand-Panteix has been awarded the 2025 CNRS Crystal Medal, a prestigious distinction granted to five laureates in recognition of their outstanding contribution to supporting scientific research. This award honors her career devoted to biology, marked by rigor and innovation in service of French scientific excellence.
The award ceremony took place on December 8, 2025, at the Pôle de Lanaud in Boisseuil, in the presence of representatives of the supervising institutions — the CNRS, the University of Limoges, and the Limoges University Hospital: Stéphane Le Crom – Director of DASH 5H CNRS Biology, Ludovic Hamon – Regional Delegate DR08, Vincent Jolivet – President of the University of Limoges, Anne Massoni – Vice President for Research at the University of Limoges, and Sébastien Hantz – Vice President for Research at the Limoges University Hospital. Stéphanie Durand-Panteix began her career at the CRIBL laboratory (Control of B Cell Immune Response and Lymphoproliferations, CNRS/Inserm/University of Limoges Joint Research Unit) during her PhD in hematology, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship. She played a key role in translational projects such as CARAT, led by Orano Med, where she coordinated preclinical studies in nuclear medicine. She also co-led the INTENSIVE project on multimodal imaging, an inter-institute initiative at the University of Limoges. She later became Head of Technology Transfer and Partnerships at CRIBL, supporting researchers in technology valorization — responsibilities she continues to hold today.

Current contributions
Since 2022, she has been heading the BISCEm unit (Integrative Biology Health Chemistry Environment) at the University of Limoges, integrating digital tools and innovation within a framework supported by the European Union. Her long-standing involvement with CRIBL laid the groundwork for this evolution toward interdisciplinary, boundary-crossing research. Her career path illustrates a transition from expertise in hematology-immunology to leadership in scientific valorization.
