The Astonishing, the Surprising, and the Extraordinary in Scientific Research

The CNRS Unusual Tours focus on the astonishing, the offbeat, and the unique, offering visitors special moments with scientists.

Founded in 2020, they offer unique experiences each year—in small groups—at the heart of research. Inaccessible sites, unusual experiences, and one-of-a-kind events are on the agenda across the country for the few lucky participants selected by lottery.

From October 7 to 18, 2026, people of all ages are invited to step inside the CNRS laboratories and experimental facilities throughout France to enjoy immersive, unique, and unforgettable experiences alongside passionate researchers. For this 6th edition, a unique tour is being offered in Limoges, where you can observe, handle, and experiment to discover science in a whole new way. Enter the drawing now through September 20 at 11:00 p.m. to try your luck.

The CRIBL Laboratory is ready for the event!

In Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the CRIBL Laboratory is delighted to participate in this event. As we do every year, our visitors will come to explore our facilities, learn about our research topics, and get a glimpse into our day-to-day work.

To achieve this goal, they’ll roll up their sleeves and dress up as researchers! After getting to know the lab and B cells, they’ll conduct experiments in cell and molecular biology and biochemistry, and finally, they’ll observe the cells under a microscope.
