The French League Against Cancer – Haute-Vienne Committee renews its support for the CRIBL laboratory.
The French League Against Cancer – Haute-Vienne Committee has renewed its financial support for cancer research teams in Limoges, including the CRIBL laboratory (Control of B Cell Immune Response and Lymphoproliferations, INSERM 1262 – UMR CNRS 7276).
Essential funding for cancer research in Limoges
Thanks to the commitment of its donors and volunteers, the French League Against Cancer – Haute-Vienne Committee has awarded a grant of €155,000 to support several research projects conducted in Limoges. A significant share of this funding supports work carried out at CRIBL, in close collaboration with hospital and university teams in the region.
This support strengthens the resources dedicated to research that spans from the laboratory bench to the patient’s bedside, in line with the League’s mission to foster new strategies for cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
CRIBL, a long-standing scientific partner of the League
Located on the Health Campus of the University of Limoges and integrated within the OmegaHealth Institute, the CRIBL laboratory focuses its research on B lymphocytes, lymphoproliferative disorders and haematological cancers, with a strong emphasis on immuno-oncology. This expertise is underpinned by a close collaboration with the Limoges University Hospital, which fosters the development of translational projects and the design of innovative therapies in onco-haematology.
The relationship between the French League Against Cancer and CRIBL is long-standing: several researchers from the unit have already been recognised over the years through awards and funding from the League, reflecting mutual trust and the high quality of the research carried out in Limoges.
Highlighting the teams behind the projects
At the official cheque presentation, CRIBL was represented by several members of the unit: Nathalie Faumont, Sophie Péron and Jean Feuillard. This time of exchange provided an opportunity to present ongoing projects, to underline the concrete impact of this funding on working conditions in the laboratory, and to showcase the teams’ strong motivation to advance cancer research.
A message of gratitude and collective commitment
The CRIBL laboratory wishes to express its deep gratitude to the French League Against Cancer – Haute-Vienne Committee, its volunteers and all its donors for this renewed support. These additional resources will make it possible to pursue and strengthen ambitious projects aimed at better understanding the mechanisms of cancer and, ultimately, developing new therapeutic approaches for patients.
Beyond financial support, this partnership illustrates the strength of the bond between academic research, the hospital sector and the local non-profit community, all working side by side with patients and their families in the fight against cancer.
