The project Aux Champs de la Briance, led by management students at the school of management – IAE of Limoges and students from Ceramics and ICT graduate school, is the winner of this final of the Innovation Workshops at the Master level on March 03, 2022.
Back on this major event in the life of several components of the University of Limoges.
In a few words, what are the innovation workshops?
It is an innovative pedagogical device carried by the school of management – IAE which allows students of 3 components school of management -IAE/graduate school/ENSCI-ENSIL (engeneer level) to develop and build an innovative project.
Concretely, the students in master are brought to pilot a project carried by a company in a posture of intrapreneur or to develop their own project in a posture of entrepreneur. For 16 weeks, every Thursday, students work in groups and learn to build an innovative business model by coherently articulating several elements that will differentiate it from the competition. Several teachers and professionals guide them in the development of high value-added product/service offers on a market whose targets are identified with the aim of generating an economic model.
To do this, students build a prototype and acquire a variety of skills and know-how at the intersection of several disciplines such as management, strategy, computer science and engineering.
Concretely, interdisciplinarity allows school of management -IAE students in innovation management to enrich their technical and computer skills by adopting a logical-mathematical spirit. It allows engineering students from graduate school to acquire and mobilize skills related to management sciences, particularly those related to the management of innovative business models.

Focus on the winning project: Aux Champs de la Briance
The association “Aux Champs de la Briance” called on 6 students from school of management -IAE and Ceramics and ICT graduate school, Anne-Laure Lecomte, Nihal Lagrioui, Pablo Abarca, Manon Gireau, Ahlam Saguia and Lucas Lecoeur, the Agriteam, to build an innovative business model around the sale of short circuit.
The group of students has brilliantly illustrated itself by promoting the profession of farmer, through the development of an innovative business model based on a short circuit production on the territory of Limousin and this for the benefit of all stakeholders. Indeed, localism is a point of differentiation to create value locally while displaying an ethic of environmental and societal responsibility. The goal is to sell part or all of their production without intermediaries. The concept is to gather local production in a dedicated producer store, selling directly to consumers. The location of the store is one of its strong points because the project will see the light of day and the store will be located in a large crossroads at 500m from a freeway exit (N°42 of the A20). The strategic approach consists in the choice of a location which has only one supermarket and no producer’s store.
