Education
Teachers-researchers, doctoral students, researchers, and technical staff are highly involved in university education, in the Faculty of Sciences (Master’s in Biology-Health, STAPS) as well as in the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy.
Scientific popularization
The members of the laboratory take part in various scientific outreach activities aimed at middle school and high school students, secondary school teachers, and the general public.

Le Scientibus
This former school bus, converted into a mobile laboratory, travels to meet all audiences (the general public and students).
Several members of the laboratory take part in the activities.

Following the organization of the Year of Biology by the CNRS in 2021-2022, several members of the University of Limoges decided to continue this training initiative for SVT (Life and Earth Sciences) and Biotechnology teachers.
Two thematic afternoon workshops are led by members of the laboratory (mass spectrometry, cell culture).

Created and led by members of the laboratory, the workshop Le Voyage Moléculaire takes visitors on a voyage into the heart of molecules and molecular interactions.

The first comic book on pharmacology: finally, the complex world of medicine explained simply! Pharmacologix takes you on a journey through the often unexpected history of drugs, explaining their mechanisms of action—with humor and a touch of pop culture.
Written by Nicolas Picard, pharmacist and biologist at the laboratory.

Each year, several members of the laboratory lead workshops at the Night of Researchers:
microbiota, molecular journey…

Ma Thèse en 180 secondes allows doctoral students to present their research topic, in French and in simple terms, to a diverse audience. Each student must deliver a clear, concise, and yet convincing presentation of their research project in three minutes.
Several of our doctoral students have participated in this national competition.

Since 2023, the laboratory has been offering a guided tour and workshop during la Fête de la Science.
In 2024, two time slots were available on October 14 on the theme “Focus on Molecular Weapons: Medicines.”

Several members of the laboratory visited middle school classes (8th and 9th grades) to discuss the role of women in the scientific world and encourage young girls to pursue this path.
In the media
Complément d’enquête, émission du 13/06/2013
False friends, false appearances, substitutes or generics: it’s all about imitation. Are there differences between a medication and its generic? Until now, we believed they were the same. But today, more and more doctors are warning about the supposed “dangers” of certain generics. Complément d’enquête visited the laboratories that manufacture these drugs, which are supposed to be identical to their branded counterparts. Is that the case? Are their therapeutic qualities on par with the originals?
Intervention by Professor Pierre Marquet (between 13 and 15 minutes).
ICI 19/20 France 3 Limousin, 7 février 2025
Caroline Monchaud was invited to the ICI 19/20 – Limousin show following the FHU SUPORT day at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy of Limoges. Her intervention took place between 11:25 and 14:15 minutes.
Vert de rage S4 E5 – Pesticides, poisons éternels, 2025
In France, as everywhere on the planet, the pesticide industry is suspected of polluting the environment. For a year, Mathilde Cusin, Manon de Couët, Martin Boudot, and the Vert de rage team investigated the persistence of banned pesticides in the environment. Although withdrawn from the market in Europe due to their toxicity, some of these pesticides are still manufactured by giants of the phytosanitary industry in France to be exported to countries with less strict regulations. These banned and toxic products then end up in fruits and vegetables imported into France.
Intervention by Dr. Souleiman El Balkhi starting at 31 minutes.
France 3 Nouvelle Aquitaine, 8 juin 2019
The University and the hospital renewed their partnership on Friday, June 7, for 5 years. This is essential to maintain the “U” (University) in the CHU (University Hospital Center) title!
Intervention by Professor Pierre Marquet (starting at 0:49).
