Research
My research project aims to improve personalised care for liver transplant recipients by identifying factors associated with graft rejection during the first year after transplantation. This is a high-risk period during which numerous clinical, biological, pharmacological and behavioural determinants interact.
One of the main lines of this project is to investigate the association between immunosuppressant exposure, its variability, medication adherence and the occurrence of rejection. The objective is to better understand the contribution of each factor, as well as their interactions, to graft outcome.
A second line focuses on how medication adherence evolves during the first-year post-transplantation. Since adherence is a major determinant of transplant success, I aim to better characterize adherence trajectories over time, identify patients at highest risk of non-adherence, and clarify the factors associated with these behaviors. The goal is to better understand how educational interventions can help improve adherence to immunosuppressive therapy and, ultimately, reduce the risk of complications and rejection.
With these data, I intend to develop predictive models integrating clinical, biological, pharmacological and behavioral dimensions, in order to identify at-risk patients and guide personalized interventions. In the longer term, this project is part of a precision medicine approach aimed at optimizing the use of immunosuppressants, strengthening medication adherence and improving outcomes for transplant recipients.
