REXETRIS: Advancing Renal Transplant Research

Start:
11 February 2026

We are pleased to highlight REXETRIS, a pioneering data-based study focused on understanding the long-term effects of immunosuppressive drugs on kidney transplant recipients.

The core objective of REXETRIS is to investigate the relationship between prolonged exposure to immunosuppressive drugs and the long-term outcomes for both kidney transplant recipients and their grafts. This is a crucial study to enhance long-term care for transplant patients.

The REXETRIS database integrates data from three key sources: ABIS (CHU de Limoges), CRISTAL (French Biomedicine Agency) & SNDS (French National Health Data System, CNAM).

Key Facts:
– The study covers 47,842 French kidney transplant recipients transplanted between 2005 and 2021.
– REXETRIS is led by Prof. Pierre Marquet and managed by CHU de Limoges.
– It was the winner of the first Health Data Hub’s Call for Projects in 2019.

Current Status:
Statistical analyses are ongoing as of Fall 2025.
