Interviews – Look back at the Research Climbing Ropes 2025

The 2025 edition of the Research Climbing Ropes (“Cordées de la Recherche”) workshop was held on March 27th and 28th.

During these days, our first-year Master’s students were able to present the results of their work in the form of a scientific poster.

For several months, first-year Master’s students join a laboratory to carry out a research project, primarily supervised by a doctoral student. In this setting, the first-year Master’s student is fully immersed in a research team, including the doctoral student, thesis supervisors, and possibly M2 interns.

Our students also had the honor of attending conferences, including:

  • Goëry GENTY from the University of Tampere (Finland) – “50 years of solitons in waveguides optics: from fundamental physics to unexpected applications”
  • Paul LEPLAY from Saint-Gobain group – “Thermomechanics and ceramics : Research & Development for industrial applications”
  • Chaker LARABI from the University of Poitiers – “Quality versus utility assessment in the era of artificial intelligence”
  • Nicolas ARAGON from the University of Limoges – “Post-Quantum Cryptography”
