The unsatisfactory long-term survival rates of grafts and the issue of drug-induced iatrogenesis in organ transplantation necessitate the exploration of new avenues to improve patient care. In this context, one of the main challenges in transplant pharmacology is identifying new factors responsible for the variability in the response to immunosuppressants. Pharmacomicrobiomics, a new interdisciplinary field born at the intersection of pharmacology, genomics, and microbiology, analyzes the impact of microbiota variations on the efficacy and toxicity of medications. Applying pharmacomicrobiomics to the field of organ transplantation helps to better understand the dynamic changes in the gut microbiota post-transplantation and provides new insights to optimize the pharmacological profile and tolerance of immunosuppressants.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
