By integrating living cells into precisely controlled environments, these devices allow the study of physiological processes and pathological mechanisms under well-defined conditions. They offer a promising alternative to traditional in vitro models and animal models, particularly for drug testing, toxicity assessment, and modeling organ-specific responses.<\/p>\n<p>Here is a representation of our microfluidic system, which includes a pressure controller, ensuring a stable and reproducible flow within the device. The flow rate is continuously monitored using integrated sensors and precisely adjusted via Elveflow\u2122 software, allowing for optimal control. Additionally, the addition of damping resistors enhances flow consistency, reducing fluctuations and ensuring a constant and homogeneous perfusion.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.unilim.fr\/p-and-t\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2024\/12\/Organ-on-chips.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2586\" src=\"https:\/\/www.unilim.fr\/p-and-t\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2024\/12\/Organ-on-chips-1024x514.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"514\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.unilim.fr\/p-and-t\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2024\/12\/Organ-on-chips-1024x514.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.unilim.fr\/p-and-t\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2024\/12\/Organ-on-chips-300x151.png 300w, https:\/\/www.unilim.fr\/p-and-t\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2024\/12\/Organ-on-chips-768x386.png 768w, https:\/\/www.unilim.fr\/p-and-t\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/80\/2024\/12\/Organ-on-chips.png 1205w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Finally, a schematic representation illustrates the commercial chip devices used for cell culture, whether single-channel or dual-channel.
