Il succ\u00e8de \u00e0 Thierry Chartier, Directeur de Recherche CNRS pour l\u2019institut IRCER.<br \/>\nApr\u00e8s un parcours comme Ing\u00e9nieur de Recherche et D\u00e9veloppement chez ST-Microelectronics \u00e0 Tours puis comme Maitre de Conf\u00e9rences \u00e0 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes et \u00e0 l\u2019Institut N\u00e9el \u00e0 Grenoble, Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Dumas-Bouchiat a int\u00e9gr\u00e9 l\u2019Universit\u00e9 de Limoges en 2012. Actuellement Professeur dans le d\u00e9partement de Physique de la Facult\u00e9 des Sciences et Techniques de Limoges et \u00e0 l\u2019Institut IRCER, il travaille sur le d\u00e9veloppement de proc\u00e9d\u00e9s plasmas de synth\u00e8se de mat\u00e9riaux en couches, sur la r\u00e9alisation de ces mat\u00e9riaux corr\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00e0 la compr\u00e9hension des propri\u00e9t\u00e9s de la mati\u00e8re micro\/nanostructur\u00e9e et sur la conception de micro-dispositifs innovants int\u00e9grant ces mat\u00e9riaux sp\u00e9cifiques. Sp\u00e9cialiste des mat\u00e9riaux en films minces, des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts par ablation laser et de nanotechnologies relatives \u00e0 l\u2019information et aux communications, ses pr\u00e9occupations de recherche vont donc de la recherche plus fondamentale \u00e0 ses applications, notamment technologiques.<br \/>\nLe LABEX \u2211-LIM porte de nombreux projets \u00e0 l\u2019interface des deux laboratoires fondateurs, IRCER et XLIM, et doit perdurer jusqu\u2019en d\u00e9cembre 2024.
