De nombreuses applications sont vis\u00e9es dans le domaine spectral allant de l&rsquo;ultraviolet \u00e0 l&rsquo;infrarouge lointain : \u00e0 savoir la microspectroscopie optique (criblage et identification de bact\u00e9ries, d&rsquo;agents chimiques, cartographie vibratoire des cellules et des tissus) et l&rsquo;imagerie hyperspectrale par LIDAR.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Ainsi, sur la base des r\u00e9sultats pr\u00e9c\u00e9dents de la phase 1 du LabEx, le projet vise \u00e0 relever deux d\u00e9fis principaux : le premier d\u00e9fi concerne le d\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux verres massifs, de vitroc\u00e9ramiques et de c\u00e9ramiques polycristallines transparentes d\u00e9di\u00e9s \u00e0 la conversion de fr\u00e9quence laser, de sources infrarouges et d&rsquo;amplificateurs NIR\/MIR. Le second explore des d\u00e9veloppements uniques dans le domaine des fibres optiques gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un meilleur contr\u00f4le \u00e0 la fois du mat\u00e9riau guid\u00e9 lui-m\u00eame et de sa structuration\/architecture.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n        <\/div>\n                <div class=\"panel-group \" id=\"object466\">\n                    <div class=\"panel panel-default\">\n            <div class=\"panel-heading\">\n                <h3 class=\"panel-title\">\n                    <a data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#object466\" href=\"#object483\">D\u00e9fi 1 : D\u00e9veloppement de nouveaux mat\u00e9riaux pour l\u2019optique<\/a>\n                <\/h3>\n            <\/div>\n            <div id=\"object483\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \">\n                <div class=\"panel-body\">\n                  \n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Le premier objectif est de d&eacute;velopper de nouvelles c&eacute;ramiques polycristallines transparentes d&eacute;di&eacute;s aux sources infrarouges et aux amplificateurs &agrave; 1 &mu;m et au-del&agrave;. Concernant le d&eacute;veloppement de nouvelles c&eacute;ramiques polycristallines transparentes, l&rsquo;accent est mis sur l&rsquo;&eacute;tude des diff&eacute;rentes &eacute;tapes du proc&eacute;d&eacute; de fabrication (synth&egrave;se des poudres, mise en forme et frittage) de nouvelles compositions, essentiellement la famille des grenats A3B5O12 (A = Y, Gd, Lu, etc. et B = Al, Sc, Ga, etc.) et des sesquioxydes dop&eacute;s avec des m&eacute;taux de transition ou des ions de terres rares (TR), et sur l&rsquo;utilisation de nouveaux proc&eacute;d&eacute;s de mise en forme (par exemple la fabrication additive 3D) pour la fabrication d&rsquo;architectures complexes et\/ou optimis&eacute;es. En particulier, les matrices c&eacute;ramiques &agrave; haute r&eacute;sistance aux chocs thermiques et &agrave; bonne efficacit&eacute; laser comme TR:Lu2O3, TR:YAG pr&eacute;sentent un grand int&eacute;r&ecirc;t pour les lasers &agrave; haute puissance\/&eacute;nergie de cr&ecirc;te (classe 10-100 mJ) dans l&rsquo;op&eacute;ration IR moyen (ions luminescents appropri&eacute;s : Tm, Ho, Er).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Le deuxi&egrave;me objectif de ce d&eacute;fi se focalise sur l&rsquo;&eacute;laboration de nouvelles compositions vitreuses et vitroc&eacute;ramiques d&rsquo;oxydes et d&rsquo;oxyfluorures de m&eacute;taux lourds (mat&eacute;riaux tellurites&nbsp;&#8211; &agrave; base de TeO2). Cette famille de mat&eacute;riaux pr&eacute;sente en effet des propri&eacute;t&eacute;s optiques non lin&eacute;aires remarquables (applications tourn&eacute;es principalement vers les conversions de fr&eacute;quence). En outre, la fabrication de nouvelles c&eacute;ramiques transparentes tellurites par cristallisation congruente et totale &agrave; partir du verre parent, et de nouvelles c&eacute;ramiques transparentes tellurates (structures d&eacute;rivant de TeO3), correspond &agrave; des activit&eacute;s &eacute;mergentes au sein de ce flagship. Enfin, les aspects de recherche plus fondamentale, combinant exp&eacute;rience et simulation &agrave; l&rsquo;&eacute;chelle atomique, sont abord&eacute;s et se concentrent en particulier sur l&rsquo;analyse fine de la structure des verres d&rsquo;oxydes de m&eacute;taux lourds, afin de mieux comprendre et ma&icirc;triser les propri&eacute;t&eacute;s optiques particuli&egrave;res de ces mat&eacute;riaux.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n                <\/div>\n                <div class=\"panel-group \" id=\"object533\">\n                    <div class=\"panel panel-default\">\n            <div class=\"panel-heading\">\n                <h3 class=\"panel-title\">\n                    <a data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-parent=\"#object533\" href=\"#object550\">D\u00e9fi 2 : D\u00e9veloppements dans le domaine des fibres optiques<\/a>\n                <\/h3>\n            <\/div>\n            <div id=\"object550\" class=\"panel-collapse collapse \">\n                <div class=\"panel-body\">\n                  \n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Le contr&ocirc;le simultan&eacute; des mat&eacute;riaux photoniques et des guides devrait faire &eacute;merger les futures perc&eacute;es technologiques (amplification de puissance, g&eacute;n&eacute;ration de longueur d&rsquo;onde infrarouge mono-\/polychromatique, fonctionnalisation des fibres optiques). La demande de sources laser &agrave; fibre de puissance sup&eacute;rieure fonctionnant dans le domaine des multi-kW et l&rsquo;utilisation de proc&eacute;d&eacute;s verts &agrave; haut rendement constituent des d&eacute;fis &eacute;normes pour l&rsquo;industrie 4.0 (pour l&rsquo;usinage ou la fabrication additive, la m&eacute;decine, la d&eacute;tection de polluants ou de mat&eacute;riaux dangereux).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Dans le m&ecirc;me temps, la diversification des longueurs d&rsquo;onde d&rsquo;&eacute;mission reste un probl&egrave;me majeur, notamment vers l&rsquo;UVX ou l&rsquo;infrarouge moyen. Dans ce contexte, la r&eacute;alisation de fibres &agrave; noyau c&eacute;ramique\/vitroc&eacute;ramique est donc une voie prometteuse.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Les fibres optiques en verres d&rsquo;oxydes de m&eacute;taux lourds (par exemple les tellurites) ont d&eacute;j&agrave; &eacute;t&eacute; produites par des proc&eacute;d&eacute;s en poudre et peuvent &eacute;galement constituer de tr&egrave;s bonnes bases pour de tels objectifs.
