Research

The Research Centre for Semiotics gathers lecturers from various fields: semiotics, communication and information sciences as well as linguistics. Semiotics as it is studied within the Research Centre for Semiotics explores the field of discourse, analysing the many areas of meaning production, from elementary utterances to cultural manifestations, including text and the various contexts within which it appears (texts, pictures, writing, social practices and interaction, etc.). The work of the researchers in the linguistics branch of the centre present coherent research on language(s) within a diachronic as well as synchronic perspective.
